healthy_snacksWhat are some healthy snacks you can enjoy while on a diet? There are times when we just feel the urge to eat something. You don’t need to suffer though, for here’s some healthy snacks that you can enjoy while still keeping on track:

Nuts

Nuts are packed with minerals and proteins such as magnesium, zinc and selenium, all which may be lacking in our normal diet. Magnesium allows us to sleep better at night, and taking in enough zinc ensures beautiful complexion. Many women especially. lack these essential nutrients from their diets, so eating a handful of nuts a few times a week can be a great way to get what you need for your body to perform at its peak. Watch out though, because nuts have quite a high fat content. Don’t eat too much or you may overshot your daily fat intake limit!

Dried Fruit

Dried fruits are also great forms of snacks. They are high in fibre and vitamins, ensuring you a smooth session in the toilet. The fibre in dried fruits also make it longer to be digested in our stomach, which will make us feel fuller for a longer time.

Raw Vegetable

Grab a handful of raw vegetables, dip them in some salsa or other sauces and you will have an instant high-fibre healthy tasty snack! Vegetables contain high amounts of antioxidants that will help keep us from falling ill while dieting. A few examples to get you going will be baby carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes and the like! ????? ??????????? ?????

Low-fat Dairy Products


Cheese, low-fat milk, yoghurt are excellent sources of calcium and protein, and a variety of other vitamins and minerals. Dairy products can be high in fat, so take note not to overshoot your fat intake and choose the low-fat versions. Be aware too that some yogurts have quite a lot of added sugar, so opt for a lighter version if you are on a restricted diet.

Whole grain snacks are rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates, which take longer to digest and give you energy with staying power.
